Calling all future engineers! If you possess an innate curiosity for how things work, enjoy solving problems, and want to build things that can change the way people live, this camp could be your first step on this exciting journey. Dive into the field of robotics and 3D printing under the skilled guidance of CapU STEM faculty, Jo Wang and Bruno Tomberli, and students from computing science and engineering. During the first two days, you construct and program LEGO EV3 robots to complete a series of challenges, such as transporting blocks, traffic light recognition, color sorting, etc. The last three days will be spent in a 3D printing lab using the 3D print facilities in the library. You’ll use coding to design a 3D model and learn how to prepare it for printing. Then. you print your design in plastic using a deposition printer. Students are encouraged to join the camp with a 3D print project in mind. All experience levels welcome!
