Video Game Design: Life Sciences (Ages 8-10)

Summer 2018

Genomics, bacteriophage and epigenetics are cutting-edge techniques researchers are developing to cure disease and save lives. In this camp, you explore these exciting developments in the field of life sciences and demonstrate your understanding by making cellular-themed video games! Become a game designer for one week and learn the core skills of the design process and computational thinking using Unity3D, the world-leading platform for game makers worldwide. You also design board games and run experiments to test out your theories. And, so you don’t feel like you’re trapped in a cell all day, there will be plenty of opportunity to head outside to design physical games that incorporate the beautiful Cap U campus.
