Video Game Design: Agriculture (Ages 8 – 11)

Summer 2019

Farming has come a long way since Old MacDonald. No longer is it just about cows and pigs with moo moos here and oink oinks there. Robotics, genomics, artificial intelligence, sensors and more are increasingly playing a role in agriculture. And now, thanks to this camp, you can too! Create a farm-themed video game using Unity3D, the world-leading platform for game makers. In addition to finding out about the fascinating science behind modern day farming, you learn the core skills of the design process and computational thinking. And just to improve your farmer cred, you and your camp mates will have an opportunity to grow real crops in the real outdoors.
