This introductory course lets you develop the skills necessary to read, understand, and speak sufficient Spanish to engage in everyday activities. Learn to communicate in basic present-tense Spanish, as you familiarize yourself with the grammar and vocabulary of activities such as ordering meals in restaurants, booking hotels, and more. Participate in pronunciation, repetition, dialogue, and grammar exercises, supplemented with a textbook and some homework. New and returning students are welcome.

REQUIRED TEXT: Practical Spanish Grammar, available at the University bookstore.
