LEGO Motorized Machines: Beginners & Intermediate (Ages 8 – 12)

Summer 2019

How does a helicopter work? A windmill? A crane? Use specialized LEGO Dacta and education kits to build cool machines that use gears, pulleys, levers, belts, pneumatic pumps and pistons. Many of the machines will be powered with LEGO motors, and some can be connected to a computer and programmed to work. Intermediate students will build more complex machines, including a dragster, a working grandfather clock, robotic animals and more. This camp also includes an introduction to LEGO Mindstorms robotics system.
