LEGO Beginners & Intermediate: Motorized Machines (Ages 8-12) July 10-14

How does a helicopter work? A windmill? A crane? Use a variety of specialized LEGO Dacta and Education kits to build all kinds of cool machines that use gears, pulleys, levers, belts, and even pneumatic pumps and pistons. Many of the machines will be powered with LEGO motors, and some can even be connected to a computer and programmed to work. Intermediate students will build more complex machines and motorized mechanisms, including a dragster, a working grandfather clock, robotic animals, a power-generating wind turbine, a Ferris wheel, and a pneumatic claw. This camp also includes an introduction to LEGO Mindstorms robotics system.
