Intro to Honey Beekeeping

Are you curious about the fascinating world of beekeeping and the honeybee? Whether you have always had an interest, or are new to keeping bees, this two-day introductory course is for you. Join Master Beekeeper and certified BC Honey Producer Association Instructor, Lianne Shyry, to delve into the basics of beekeeping. This course teaches you basic honey bee biology and behavior, as well as the equipment and supplies required to get started. Learn about various bee products such as wax, propolis and honey from different nectars. You also get an overview of disease and pest management techniques, and are led through the yearly cycle of a beekeeper, gaining insight into seasonal expectations.
