Do you have an idea for a story you want to see published? Is there something—or someone—that you think would make an incredible story? Would you like to get paid to write that story? This course takes you step by step through the process of getting a story published—be it online or offline. From finding an idea to pitching an editor to writing the story, this course covers the essential journalism skills, including interviewing, researching, and writing effective headlines and ledes to help you get started on your writing dreams. Along with in-class lectures and assignments, you will be encouraged to write a piece with the intention of publication.
