Get Started with Social Video (ONLINE) January 24, 2018

Video provides an unparalleled way to build and connect with your audience online. In this course, we cover key aspects of social video, including determining the target audience (and what platform to use to reach them); using best practices to create engaging videos; how to integrate video into your marketing strategy, and how to optimize them for views and engagement using tagging, SEO, thumbnail creation and more. You’ll also discover how you can use online video and social media together to build awareness for your personal or company brand.

PREREQUISITES: Good computer and mobile device skills. Social Media Fundamentals or similar knowledge and expertise. Accounts on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube (and a smartphone or tablet with said apps installed).

NOTE: This is an online course, delivered through the Capilano University learning management system. The course consists of 4 weekly modules, including videos, activities and assignments. You can expect to spend 4-6 hours on the course each week.
