Would you like a complimentary review of your organization’s Digital Communications Strategy?

Capilano University Executive Education is hosting a Summer Institute on Digital Communication Strategies for a group of MBA students from Vienna during the last two weeks of August, 2017. We are looking for medium-sized, North Shore or Vancouver-based organizations that are interested in either implementing a new online communications strategy or receiving input on their current strategy. The prospective company would welcome a team of four to five MBA students to work on an applied project for their organization.

Project Scope

Exec Ed The Digital Communication Strategies Summer Session is a master’s level course that teaches strategies and tactics used in digital and online communications. Participants are 2nd year MBA students from FHWien WKW University, who will have completed one year of master’s level studies on general topics in leadership, sales, marketing and communication.

Topics for their summer session in Vancouver include:

  • Strategic Digital Communications: Fundamentals & Theory
  • Digital & Social Media Marketing Tools, Tactics & Implementation
  • Creating for the Online World
  • Online/Offline Integration
  • Online Measurement & Goal Setting

Throughout the program, four to five students on an applied project, analyzing the current market situation and overall communications strategy for your organization. Integrating and applying what they learn in the classroom, students will produce an executive summary with recommendations either towards implementing a new strategy or making the most of your existing digital communications strategy. Student groups will be coached by experienced digital communication instructors from Capilano University Executive Education. At the end of the program, students will conduct a 30-minute presentation on their findings, which will be evaluated by course instructors and attended by company representatives.

Commitments from Participating Organizations:

  • If selected, by August 2, 2017, submit a one-page overview of your organization’s current marketing and communications strategy, brief SWOT overview (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats) and top high-level goals for your digital strategy
  • Host two groups of four to five students, who will be working on the project for your company, for an introduction to your organization on Wednesday, August 23 in the afternoon
  • Attend the final project presentations by the two student groups on Friday, September 1, in the morning
  • As applicable, make available other relevant information about your organization and its current marketing and communications situation (goals, market analysis, business plans, and data/analytics as it pertains to communications). Note: A confidentiality agreement can be signed with students if needed
