Capilano University has a long history of supporting music literacy and appreciation on the North Shore through a variety of music classes for children, youth and adults. Many non-credit music classes have been offered through Continuing Studies at the University and in the community.

Starting September 2016, the University will no longer deliver Continuing Studies music courses. Summer programming will proceed as planned, and the Capilano University Festival Chorus, which unites University music school students and members of the community, will continue to be offered by Continuing Studies.

“We have enjoyed nurturing music skills and appreciation in students of all ages and wish them every success in pursuing their musical passions in the community,” says Capilano University President Kris Bulcroft. “Moving forward, the University will continue to support the creative industries, such as our internationally esteemed jazz studies, music diploma, music therapy, musical theatre and conducting programs.”
